New Delhi: Congress leader and former President of the party, Rahul Gandhi is likely to launch his podcast as a counter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann ki Baat', a monthly radio broadcast.
A podcast is an audio message or a discussion that is transferred or relayed digitally.
According to the sources, Congress is currently at the planning stage and discussing the finer points with experts.
The idea of the podcast comes after the party's social media campaign "Speak Up India" which got a positive response from the people and turned out to be a huge hit.
The Social Media campaign was launched by Congress party a few days ago, aiming to raise voices before the central government to demand immediate financial relief to farmers, migrant workers, daily wagers and small businesses hit by the pandemic.
Crossing its target limit, the campaign had reached up to 10 crore people and over 57 lakh people posted their live videos on social media platforms.

The idea of launching a podcast is to increase the online reach of the Congress leader. Even during their social media campaign, a question was raised regarding the section of people who are not a participant of any social media platform.
Meanwhile, Congress party also started promoting the Youtube Channel of Rahul Gandhi during the COVID lockdown period, which has now got 2,96,000 subscribers.
Congress has started a series of Rahul Gandhi's conversations with a range of global experts, including economic, healthcare, to discuss about the impact of coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Congress also released a documentary while addressing the plight of migrant workers amid coronavirus-induced lockdown.
The video had a narration done by the Congress leader in addition to his interaction with migrant labourers whom he found walking on the road in a hope to reach their homes. It had 1,33,000 views on YouTube.
