New Delhi: On the occasion of 6th International Yoga day, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also practised Yoga at his residence at Delhi.
In a video message, Prasad said, "Practicing Yoga has always been a reason for physical and mental wellness. The quest for wholistic well-being during COVID19 has increased the popularity of Yoga even more."
In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, the theme for this year is 'Yoga at Home, Yoga with Family'.
Apart from this, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Union Agricultural Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javdekar were also seen practising Yoga.
"Yoga is a heritage of India. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the world has accepted Yoga in a new way," he added.

Addressing the nation via video conferencing on Yoga Day, PM Modi said, "International Yoga Day is a day of solidarity. This is the day of universal brotherhood. Due to COVID-19 global health emergency, this year International Yoga Day is being observed through the electronic and digital platform.
The Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has urged educational institutions to include Yoga as part of online learning programmes being conducted in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic as it is one of the best options to improve the body’s immunity.
