New Delhi: On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti on Tuesday, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra appealed to the people to help vulnerable sections to country, in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic, while maintaining the lockdown and health protocols.
In her video message, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "Every year we celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti in a magnificent manner. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this time, we are not being able to go outside of our houses. Babasaheb Ambedkar has a huge contribution in building of our nation. This country will never be able to forget his efforts seeking the rights of SC, ST and OBC population."

The Congress leader also quoted Babasaheb Ambedkar in her video, saying, "Be educated, Be Organized and Be Agitated." She even called it need of the hour as the entire country is facing the crisis of COVID-19.
While appealing to the people to stand together, Priyanka said, "I want to appeal to the people, while being at home, read our constitution for once and also provide help to the vulnerable sections of the society as much as they can without violating any law of nationwide lockdown."
She further added, "It was the dream of Ambedkar that each citizen of this country will get his/her rights and no one faces hunger. This is our duty now to ensure it."
