Mysore (Karnataka): Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 70th birthday is being celebrated across the country, and Mysore artist Nanjundaswamy celebrated the PM’s birthday by carving the latter's image on the tip of a pencil.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, the artist said: “this art is called as micro art. This art is created in a small pencil. The face is carved with the help of a needle and a surgical knife”. The artist also said this is his small contribution to PM’s birthday.

Artist Nanjundaswamy has also carved pictures of Mysore dynasty Maharajas, film actors and politicians like Yeddyurappa, Siddaramaiah, Deve Gowda, Vajpayee and many others through micro art.
