New Delhi: Actor Vivek Oberoi, who is gearing up for a yet-to-be-released movie "PM Narendra Modi", on Sunday said that a lot of people have tried to prevent his film from releasing. He urged people to watch the movie as it celebrates democracy.
"People go to celebrate Holi and Diwali by watching movies but I will say that they should watch this movie to celebrate democracy," he said.
Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Vivek said that people should watch this movie as this is a journey of a common man who does not have a big surname but still made it as the Prime Minister of the country."
The actor further went on to say, "There are people who went to Supreme Court to file petition to stop my movie but we have overcome all the challenges and now I can gladly say that my movie is releasing on 11th of April."
Earlier, the movie has drawn criticism from a number of opposition parties who have called it a violation of the model code of conduct. Congress National spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had called this movie "a flop movie of a flop PM by a flop actor".
Urging people to vote for the BJP in the upcoming elections, the actor also said that people should choose the government which can make the country greater and more secure.
