New Delhi: While speaking at the induction of Commandos for Railway Safety (CORAS) on Wednesday, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal praised the efforts of RPF in operation 'Thunder' which aimed at tightening the grip on those who black-market tickets.
Goyal said that "The RPF has done the task which our traffic department should have done. I want to say this in front of everyone that the rest of the
railway department should also take this as a challenge, they should carry out their responsibilities themselves, rather than have to give it to others. "
The Central Bureau of Investigation and the Railway Protection Force raided several places simultaneously, under which tickets worth Rs 1,98000 were recovered and more than 1000 people were also arrested.
To spread awareness on the issue of black marketing of tickets, Railway Minister urged the public to report such incidents to the authorities as it will lead to maximum development in the railway sector.
