Moscow (Russia): External Affair Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday slammed Pakistan claiming that the country used terrorism as a diplomatic tool against its neighbouring countries.
Jaishankar, who is in Russia on a two-day visit, was speaking at the Valdai Club, a Moscow-based think tank today on the topic 'India's perspective on the Indo-Pacific.'
"If you look at International relations, I cannot think of any country which uses terror as a diplomatic tool against its neighbours," Jaishankar said.
"We have struggled to have normal trade. They (Pakistan) would not allow connectivity between other regional nations. I think we have unique problems out there," he added.
Besides, EAM Jaishankar also claimed that both countries need to find a common solution by coming to terms with it.
The minister is scheduled to meet his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Wednesday to further advance bilateral cooperation and economic ties.
Besides, PM Modi will be the chief guest at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok which will be held from September 4 to 6.
The two leaders will discuss a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, including trade, investment, military, science and technology cooperation, the use of national currencies for mutual payments and prospective projects in space exploration and energy.
Its Jaishankar's first visit to the Russian capital after assuming office in May, during which he will also co-chair the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission - Technical and Economic Cooperation.
