Srikakulam (Andhra Pradesh): While the country is under lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus, some people are still not following the rules and are coming out of their houses without any valid reason.
Apart from taking strict action against lockdown violators, police are using innovative methods to create awareness among the people about the importance of staying indoors during the lockdown.
In Srikakulam, police have decided to take strict action against the lockdown violators. As a first step towards it, the vehicles found violating the shutdown rules are painted red by the police team. The owners of petrol pumps have been ordered not to give fuel to those persons whose vehicles are painted red, police said.
Cops are hoping that this may stop people from coming out of their homes without any valid reason.
