Over 15 lakh people sign petitions seeking justice for Hyderabad veterinarian

Over 15 lakh people from across the country have signed petitions on change.org in the last four days seeking justice for the 27-year-old veterinarian who was brutally raped and murdered in Hyderabad. 

Started on November 29, the petition gathered 3 lakh supporters in just 24 hours and continued to grow rapidly, according to a statement by change.org. 

"Within four days, over 500 petitions have been started by regular citizens in an attempt to register protest and anger and the biggest petition that has gathered the signatures of over 8 lakh people has been started by another veterinarian from Mumbai Dr Shantanu Kodape," the statement said.

Verdict in rape cases should be pronounced in as many days as victim's age: Harsimrat

Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said the verdict in rape cases should be pronounced in as many days as the age of the victim.

"I urge the government that in rape cases judgement should be pronounced in number of days equivalent to the age of the victim. So if the victim is 20 years old, the trial should be concluded in 20 days," she said

The younger the victim, the faster the trial will be, she added.

Eminent filmmaker Aparna Sen wondered if hanging the rapists would lead to a substantial fall in number of such crimes.

Sen's comments were made in the wake of Rajya Sabha MPs demanding death penalty, lynching and castration as punishment for the four accused in the Telangana rape-murder case.

Body:आपको बता दें कि देश में हर दिन बलात्कार की घटनाएं सामने आती है और जब हैदराबाद में एक महिला डॉक्टर के साथ गैंगरेप करके उसे जिंदा जला दिया गया और और हत्यारा अपने घर पहुंचते ही हत्यारा अपनी मां से कहता है कि आज मैं किसी का कत्ल करके आ रहा हूं जब मीडिया आरोपी की मां तक पहुंचती है तो उसकी मां कहती है कि जैसे उसने किसी की बेटी को जिंदा जलाया है वैसे ही उसकी बेटे को भी जिंदा जला दिया जाना चाहिए
आज इस कैंडल मार्च में कांग्रेस के कई नेता भी शामिल हुए जिसमें रमेश कुमार कल्लू के साथ-साथ पुष्पा सिंह पूर्व निगम पार्षद के साथ और कार्यकर्ताओं ने शिरकत की और लोगों में काफी आक्रोश देखा गया यहां तक कि मीडिया से बातचीत करते हुए पूर्व निगम पार्षद पुष्पा सिंह भावुक तक हो गई उनकी आंखों से आंसू छलक गए

Conclusion:साथ ही उनका कहना है कि उनके पास एक बेटी है अब भी अपनी बेटी को बाहर कैसे भेजें क्योंकि दिल्ली तो पहले ही रेप सिटी बन चुकी है और अभी परसों भी दिल्ली में 8 साल की मासूम के साथ रेप किया जाता है और पुलिस हाथ पर हाथ रखे बैठी रहती है केंद्र सरकार के सर पर जूं नहीं रेंगता ताकि दरिंदों के साथ दरिंदों को कड़ी से कड़ी सजा मिले बल्कि कुछ दिन जेल में रहने के बाद दरिंदे छूट जाते हैं और साल 2012 में ही निर्भया कांड हुआ था और उसके आरोपियों को अभी भी सजा नहीं मिली है हालांकि कोर्ट तरफ से उन्हें सजा सुना दी गई है अब देखना यह होगा कि हैदराबाद की बेटी को इंसाफ मिल पाएगा या फिर नहीं यह तो आने वाला वक्त ही बताएगा
