Bharatpur: Former Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi's sister, who reportedly went missing seven years ago, was found alive in Apna Ghar Ashram in Bharatpur on Sunday. According to reports, Maisuni Devi was battling depression and went missing but could not be found despite repeated search attempts by the family members.

As soon the family received the information, they immediately reached Apna Ghar Ashram and brought Maisuni home.

Ashram's secretary Bhudev Sharma said, "Maisuni was battling depression since 2000 and in 2012 she got separated from her family. Having lost her path, she reached Bharatpur and was brought in Apna Ghar Ashram in 2018."

"She was undergoing treatment for depression and now she has recovered. When we came to know that Maisuni is Babulal Marandi's sister, we informed her family," Sharma said.

Marandi's family heaved a sigh of relief as they had lost hopes of getting her back.

Babulal Marandi spoke to the founder of Ashram BM Bhardwaj and promised them to visit the place soon, adding that he would also look into what can be done for such people in Jharkhand.
