Burhanpur: In a shocking incident, a group of armed goons tied a man's hand with ropes and took turns to gangrape his wife and minor daughter in Madhya Pradesh's Burhanpur district, police said on Sunday. The incident reportedly happened in Bodralli village under Shahpur Police station limits on Saturday midnight and police teams have been pressed into service to investigate the crime.
The victim, who works a security guard, was thrashed by the goons and was also robbed of cash.
"The miscreants carried knives and sharp weapons and threatened me. I gave them my meagre savings of Rs 2,500 that I had. I urged them not to harass my daughter and wife but they took both of them to an agricultural field and gang-raped them," the victim narrated his ordeal, adding that his neighbours were also brutally attacked.
The locals and neighbours of the victim were also beaten up when they rushed for help after hearing the screams of the guard. All of them were held hostage by the goons following their victim's daughter and wife were gang-raped.

"I shouted for help and when my neighbours came for help, they were attacked. The goons held us captive and sexually assaulted my daughter and wife," the man added.
A complaint has been lodged at Shahpur Police station for sexual assault and robbery. Police teams have been constituted to investigate the matter.
"We have formed teams and the matter will be thoroughly investigated. The forensic team are at the crime scene and evidence is being collected. Efforts are on to identify and nab all the accused and arrest those involved in the crime, said Tilak Singh, DGI.
Sanjay Pathak, police officer added, "The victim's family was attacked on Saturday midnight and their phones were also snatched. Women of the house were sexually abused and we are investigating the matter.
