New Delhi: Owing to the 21-day nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Delhi government is taking all possible steps to provide food to the needy.
From ration to access to lunch and dinner at government-run schools, the Delhi government is ensuring that no one will die of hunger during this lockdown period.

Welcoming the initiative of the government, MLA of Ambedkar Nagar Constituency Ajay Dutt went to a government school in Khanpur area to ensure that the instruction of the government is fully followed during the process of food distribution.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Dutt said, " To avoid spreading of infection, all the workers are wearing masks and gloves during the cooking and food distribution process".
"Keeping in mind the social distancing, people are made to stand at a certain distance," he added.
"I am visiting all the ration shops and assuring that there will be no shortage of ration at any shop," Dutt said.
While assuring that they won't be deprived of food, the Aam Aadmi Party leader has requested people to stay at home and abide by the instructions of the government.
