He reiterated that his son had no links with militants and was not involved in any militancy-related case.

Three youth 24-year-old Ajaz Maqbool Ganai from Putrigam Pulwama, 22-year-old Zubair Ahmad Lone from Turkawangam Shopian and Athar Mushtaq Wani, 16, from Below Pulwama, were killed on December 31 at Lawaypora.

The families have earlier protested in Srinagar demanding bodies of their slain sons, who were buried 120 kilometres away from their villages in Sonmarg area of Ganderbal.

Police have maintained that the three were not in their militant list but two of the slain, Athar Mushtaq Wani and Aijaz Maqbool Ganaie, were "hardcore" OGWs and had provided logistic support to militants.
