Kullu (Himachal Pradesh): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Lahaul and Manali to inaugurate the Atal Tunnel on October 3 in Himachal Pradesh, he will be welcomed by tribal culture in the valley.
Traditional dishes will be served to him during his visit. The state government and administration are also working to welcome the Prime Minister.
The PM will be welcomed in Manali as per the Kullavi tradition, while in the Lahaul Valley he will be welcomed in the Lahauli tradition. He will be served local dishes at lunch.
Local cuisine will be served with ghee along with manna and red potatoes, Lahaul's cereal chilu made from kathu, walnut siddoo, peppermint and coriander chutney along with Chupka and salted tea will also be served.
PM Narendra Modi has a deep affection with Himachal. He has visited the Devbhoomi while being in charge of BJP of Himachal. During the Kangra tour of the state in December 2018, Narendra Modi had said that Himachal feels like a second home. There is a lot of excitement among the people about Modi's Manali and Lahaul tour.

Lahaul Spiti and Manali is not a new or unknown place for the PM. On June 3, 2002, when the Atal Tunnel was announced in Klang, he was BJP Himachal in charge. Modi was also present in Manali's Sase during the road foundation stone of the South Portal of Atal Tunnel.
Lahaul-Spiti MLA and Technical Education Minister Dr Ramlal Markandeya said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be welcomed as per the Lahauli tradition. Traditional dishes will be served to the Prime Minister. He said that the Himachal government has started preparing to welcome the Prime Minister.
Recipe of Ghee manna and potato
The batter is prepared by mixing black cumin and salt in the flour. Manna is prepared from the prepared solution. Method of making manna is similar to making dosa. It is served with homemade ghee and red potato vegetable.
Himalayan Kathu flour solution is prepared, in which the East, salt is added and prepared Lavar. It is served with coriander and mint chutney.
Thupka and Siddu
Thupka is prepared by cooking black gram, rice, churpe and vegetables. Apart from this, Siddu is prepared by adding a mixture of walnuts, carrots, guris and cooked in flour. It is served with green coriander and mint chutney. Namkeen tea doubles the taste of all these traditional dishes.
