Kerala: Attingal Municipal Council include National Anthem in its regular meetings

In an attempt to inculcate nationalism in future generations, Attingal Municipal Council decided to include National Anthem in its regular meetings and procedures. With this, Attingal Municipal Council becomes the first local self-government body to do so.

Thiruvananthapuram(Kerala): In a first of its kind, Attingal Municipal Council on Wednesday decided to include National Anthem in its regular meetings. Initiating a new protocol, the members of the Municipal Council said that National Anthem will be sung in all the meetings and procedures.

With this, Attingal Municipal Council becomes the first local self-government body to include National Anthem in its meetings. The decision came into effect in the meeting of the Attingal Municipal Council held on June 10.

National Anthem has been included in the rendezvous to instill in future generation a sense of nationalism.

Chairman of the Attingal municipal council, M. Pradeep said, "We have taken this decision to inculcate a sense of patriotism in the upcoming generation. The decision was taken in the meeting of Council on June 10.
