Kashmir: Over 40,000 students appeared for Class 12 exam

As many as 48,000 students of Kashmir division appeared for class 12 examination conducted by JK Board of School Education. 433 centres, besides a special center for specially-abled students, had been set up at BOSE Campus Bemina, Srinagar.

Srinagar (J&K): Around 48,000 students of Kashmir division appeared for the annual Annual Regular Examination of Higher Secondary for Class 12 on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE), "Around 48,000 students of Kashmir division appeared in the examination. As many as 433 centres besides a special center for specially-abled students had been set up at BOSE Campus Bemina, Srinagar."

The statement said that around 99.5 percent of students appeared in the examination for which fool-proof arrangements were made.

Flying squads were constituted for monitoring the examination and adequate security measures in and around the examination centres were also taken by the administration.

Jammu and Kashmir officially became a Union Territory on Thursday.
