A man from Karnataka reportedly died of cardiac arrest after hearing the news of lockdown extension till May 3.

Kolar: A man from Kolar district, Karnataka died of cardiac arrest, reportedly after listening to PM Modi's decision of nationwide lockdown extension to curb the spread of the deadly virus, a source said.

According to reports, Murgesh was the sole breadwinner of his family and he worked as a daily wage labourer. But after the nationwide lockdown came into force, he wasn't even able to feed his family.

Reportedly, he suddenly fell sick on April 14 after the Prime Minister announced the extension of lockdown till May 3. Murgesh was then rushed to the hospital but on Wednesday he eventually succumbed to his health ailment.
