Kamal Nath govt may fall any time: BJP

BJP MLAs and other senior party leaders from Madhya Pradesh are in the national capital to discuss the political situation in the state. They say the on-going political situation may result in serious crisis for the Madhya Pradesh government.

New Delhi: Amid political crisis in Madhya Pradesh, where some of the MLAs of the ruling Congress were still "missing", BJP top leadership from the state is camping in the national capital to discuss the strategy with the party's central leaders.

Narottam Mishra, BJP MLA from Madhya Pradesh, speaking to the ETV Bharat here said the Kamal Nath government is a "minority government" and would not survive long.

"The ruling Congress is pressurizing our party workers. What trading is this? We would not let it happen," he said, adding that the allegations leveled against us could not be proved by them."They are not securing their own house and focusing on BJP," Mishra asserted.
Union Minister Prahlad Patel also expressed similar views and said BJP would never succumb to any pressure by anyone in the state.

Meanwhile, Nakul Nath, a Lok Sabha MP and son of Chief Minister Kamal Nath, has said that there was no threat to the government in Madhya Pradesh and that the missing Congress legislators would return to party fold very soon.

"There is no threat to Madhya Pradesh government," the MP said inside Parliament premises.
