New Delhi: Senior leader of Communist Party of India - Marxist (CPI-M), Sitaram Yechury, on Friday, reportedly avoided the questions raised by the media personnel regarding disorderly conduct of few Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students with the journalists on October 3.
Yechury, in this regard, said: "Whoever have raised questions against the government had been given titles of 'Traitors' or 'Urban Naxals'."
"I was not there at the time of the incident. You should inquire about it from the people who were present there," he replied.
It may be recalled that few students from the JNU on Thursday staged a protest to oppose a lecture programme of Union Minister Jitendra Singh on revoking of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
The students during the demonstration also misbehaved with ETV Bharat's journalist present at the campus. A video of the entire incident has gone viral.
