Chennai (Tamil Nadu): A 16-year-old girl was allegedly stabbed by her spurned lover in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
According to the reports, the victim, Nithya had fell in love with her neighbour Satish after her father moved to Chennai in search of better opportunities in 2010.
Amid the lockdown, as the family of Nithya moved to their native village, she continued her affair with Satish and remained in contact with the accused through the phone.
However, in a dramatic turnover, Nithya was allegedly stabbed by Satish after she rejected to marry him.
According to the police, Satish forced Nithya to marry him which Nithya refused after which in a fit of anger Satish stabbed her.

After getting information, police teams reached the spot and found the victim in a pool of blood. The girl was immediately taken to the hospital where she is said to be stable.
Police has registered a case in this connection and investigation is underway.
Earlier, on October 4, a 30-year-old woman doctor was allegedly stabbed to death by her colleague over a trivial issue at Kuttanellur in Kerala's Thrissur.
The woman has been identified as Sona of Muvattupuzha and her attacker has been identified as Dr Mahesh of the same locality.
According to sources, a bitter argument erupted between Sona and Mahesh over some trivial issue. However, the argument turned ugly and Mahesh lost his cool.
In a fit of rage, he took out a knife and stabbed Sona repeatedly. He fled the spot leaving her critically injured after which she scummed to her injuries.
