New Delhi: The Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind on Wednesday said the Supreme Court verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case will be acceptable to it.
The Muslim body also appealed to all to maintain peace after the verdict is out.
Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind president Arshad Madani said their case was based on facts and also stressed that the Babri Masjid was a mosque and would remain so till the end of the world under the Sharia law.
“The Supreme Court is not the place for ‘aastha’ (faith). It is the place of ‘kanoon’ (law). After the arguments made before the apex court, we have faith that it would pass a verdict keeping the law and constitutional values in mind. It will be based on facts and not faith," he said.
The Muslim leader also urged all irrespective of their age and religion to maintain peace after the verdict on the sensitive case is out.
