New Delhi: A young teacher, Hilal Ahmad Lone hailing from J&K, received prestigious awards for “Best ICT Teacher” by Ministry of Human Resource Development at New Delhi.

Hilal Ahmad is one among the 43 selected teachers for National Award for Teachers using ICT for Innovation in Education. The award includes a medal, a commemoration, a laptop and a set of 10 DVDs.

Hilal Ahmad Lone resides at Kangan area of Ganderbal and is presently posted at girls higher secondary school Kangan. He has been working as Nodal Officer for Aadhaar and is in charge of J&K Knowledge Network for his district.

Hilal Ahmad Lone has been teaching the students using e-context and information technology, however, the biggest challenge before him is to continue teaching the same way which is not possible as of now because of the internet shutdown in the valley.

Hilal Ahmed Lone in a special conversation with ETV Bharat, said that how the education in Kashmir has also been greatly affected due to the constant internet service clampdown post abrogation article 370.

While he was able to provide better education to children with the use of ICT technology before August 2019, but now they are facing the biggest challenge to continue teaching using the internet. Under compulsion, teachers are being forced to teach children in the traditional way.

However, Hilal Ahmad Lone is happy after receiving the ICT National Award and he hopes that the internet services will be restored in the valley which will help him to do better in the field and channelise the internet services for the betterment of his students.

He further said that because of the internet shutdown education sector is facing many challenges.

Hilal Ahmad has been engaged in various ICT related interventions like NISHTHA, DIKSHA, Knowledge Networks, and Smart Classes etc. He has been striving hard in his respective areas to enhance the teaching-learning process in Government schools using ICT interventions.

Besides, he has provided enormous trainings to his fellow teachers upon the usage of IT Tools in their routine pedagogy in classrooms.

Intro:शिक्षा में सूचना और संचार प्रौद्योगिकी यानी कि आईसीटी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए आज मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय ने देश भर के कुल 43 शिक्षकों को आईसीटी पुरस्कार 2017 से सम्मानित किया । 43 शिक्षकों की फेहरिस्त में एक नाम हिलाल अहमद लोन का भी था जो कि कश्मीर से आते हैं । हिलाल अहमद लोन ने इकॉन्टेंट और इनफार्मेशन टेक्नोलॉजी का इस्तेमाल करते हुए स्कूली शिक्षा को बेहतर तरीके से प्रस्तुत करने का काम किया है उनकी मेहनत की बदौलत उन्हें आज राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिला लेकिन साथ ही उनके सामने सबसे बड़ी चुनौती कश्मीर में संचार सेवाओं का ठप होना है । विशेषकर इंटरनेट ईटीवी भारत ने हिलाल अहमद लोन से विशेष बातचीत की जिसमें उन्होंने बताया कि किस तरह धारा 370 के हटाए जाने के बाद लगातार इंटरनेट सेवाएं ठप रहने से कश्मीर की शिक्षा भी बेहद प्रभावित हुई है । जहां कुछ महीने पहले तक आईसीटी तकनीक के इस्तेमाल से हिलाल अहमद लोन बच्चों को बेहतर शिक्षा दे पा रहे थे वहीं अब तकनीकी उनके लिए सबसे बड़ी चुनौती बनकर सामने खड़ी है । मजबूरी में शिक्षकों को पारंपरिक तरीके से ही बच्चों को पढ़ाने पर मजबूर होना पड़ रहा है ।


Body:हालांकि आईसीटी नेशनल अवार्ड मिलने के बाद हिलाल अहमद लोन खुश है और उन्हें सरकार से उम्मीद है कि कश्मीर में जल्द ही इंटरनेट सेवाएं सामान्य हो जाएंगी और उन्हें बेहतर काम करने का मौका मिलेगा । फिलहाल नहीं टीवी से बातचीत में बताया कि किस तरह से शिक्षा व्यवस्था कश्मीर में प्रभावित हुई है जिसकी वजह से उन्हें कई चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ता है ।
