The federation has been demanding the creation of Bodoland, Gorkhaland, Vidarbha, Tipraland, Kuki State, Bundelkhand, Purbanchal and Karbi Anglong.

The NFNS has opined that when the government can announce Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh as union territories, the government should also look into our demands seriously.

"Narendra Modi government right now has an absolute majority in the Parliament. So, if he wishes we can definitely get our new states. We believe Narendra Modi would definitely fulfil his election promise," said Bora.

The NFNS leaders are also likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah among others.
