New Delhi: Eight more personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, force spokesperson said on Thursday.
Currently, there are a total of 70 active coronavirus cases in the ITBP and at least 221 force personnel have recovered till date, said an ITBP spokesperson.
Out of total active cases in the ITBP, 18 jawans are admitted in Delhi while 52 are at other different locations.
According to officials, at least 122 COVID-19 positive jawans from the paramilitary forces, CBI, IB, NSG, NIA, DAC/NTRO are admitted at the CAPF Referral Hospital in Greater Noida and condition of admitted is stable.
As of now, 18 paramilitary jawans have succumbed to COVID-19. The CRPF and CISF each has suffered six casualties, BSF three, SSB two and one death has taken place in ITBP till now.
