Raipur (Chhattisgarh): Ahead of the by-elections in the Dantewada constituency of Chhattisgarh, the political fight in the district has intensified.
During a discussion with ETV Bharat, former Chief Minister of the state Raman Singh said that the former government of Chhattisgarh took 15 years to develop the Naxal-prone Dantewada.
"The former BJP government came up with several schemes to develop the district. Earlier it was difficult to reach Dantewada, but our government developed the district through better health and education facilities which changed the perspective about the district," said former CM.
Raman Singh also accused the present government of the state saying that they have not done anything important for the development of Dantewada in the last 9 months.
"In fact, the Congress government is spoiling the efforts made by the previous government to change the image of the district," Raman Singh said.
