With the commencement of IPL, Bhopal Crime Branch has also become active. In the last few days, the team of Bhopal Crime Branch has taken more than half a dozen such actions in which the bookies were found betting. The Crime Branch has recovered cash of about Rs 25 lakh in the action taken so far. At the same time, more than 30 bookies and bettors have been arrested. Police have recovered large quantities of mobiles, LED TVs, laptops from them.

According to the police officers, the crime branch is continuously taking action against the bookies. Officials say that a big bookie is sitting in Mumbai, who is running this entire network sitting in Mumbai. Police has also received information that besides Mumbai, the main bookie is sitting abroad in Dubai. Police officials claim that this entire network will be uncovered soon.
