New Delhi: Pegging India as a developing country with friendly relations with the West, Vladimir Yakunin, chairman of Dialogue of Civilization, an independent Berlin-based think tank said that India could play a major role in helping less developed countries in the African continent in terms of development.
"India can help the less developed countries in Africa. India is not isolated as it is one of the biggest democracies in the world, " said Yakunin while speaking to ETV Bharat.
He added, "India has good relations with biggest countries in the west such as the United States and I suppose India should pick up some features for their economic promotions, either from Russia or Euroasian arrangements or development of relations with the US."
Dialogue of Civilization focuses on major challenges faced by the world, particularly the less developed and developing countries.
