New Delhi: Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, former envoy Vishnu Prakash on Monday took a swipe at Pakistan for failing to stop terror emanating from its soil, blaming Islamabad for failing to respond to India's developmental agenda all the time.

Prakash said Pakistan failed to stop terror

"How can we have a relationship with a country which responds to overtures of peace and cooperation with terrorism," said the former Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson.

Recalling India's past initiatives for starting a dialogue, he blamed Pakistan for ruining it every time with an act of terror from their side.

On what the World thinks of Pakistan's changed narrative where its entire leadership is accusing PM Modi and his government for 'right-wing extremism', he said, "He (Imran Khan) is the rudderless captain of a sinking ship. The more he exposes himself, the more the world will get to see his real face."

Pakistan's diplomatic position towards India has witnessed many flip flops since the arrival of the Imran Khan administration in 2018. His extension of the olive branch after coming to office did not receive any heed from New Delhi as it maintained its position since the Pathankot air force base attack that terror and talks cannot go together.

Pulwama attack only soured the relationship further, resulting in a war-like situation as fighter jets of both countries crossed the Line of Control for the first time since the 1971 war.

Ever since the government of India decided to revoke provisions of Article 370, which provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistan leadership has gone berserk in their attacks on Modi administration.
