New Delhi: Talking about the IAF's airstrike on JeM's camp in Pakistan, senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal Naresh Gujral said that the strike was not a military operation but an anti-terror operation.
After attending the All Party Meeting held after the airstrike, he said, "Our security agencies had the information that almost 300 trainers and trainees of terror outfit JeM were present in the area. To finish them, the IAF sent around 12 jets and carried out the airstrike in a well-planned manner."
Commenting on whether India was prepared for any retaliation from Pakistan, Gujral said that nation's intelligence and security agencies were on high alert. He added that all the political parties hailed the IAF's move and stood by the government.
Everyone present in the meeting was with the government against Pakistan's proxy war against India, he said. He added, "I raised concern over Punjab's security as after J&K, the state was nearest to Pakistan."
