Hyderabad: The Nizam's city registered another Guinness world record to its name. Kotti Srikanth, the owner of The Diamond Store in Jubilee Hills has made a ring with the maximum number of diamonds. The previous record was set by a Mumbai-based trader with 7,777 diamonds.
Srikanth said the record was made possible by embedding 7801 diamonds in a single ring.
He said the ring was named 'The Divine-7801' Brahma Lotus. It consists of six petals, eight petals in five rows, and three pollen grains.
It took eleven months to make the ring. He said he was happy that his store was gaining international recognition. Chandubhai and Srikanth, the company's executives, said they would auction the ring in November.
