Firstly clean the room with water and subsequently sanitise the doorbell, door handles, where the chances of having a virus are more. After sometime sprinkle the sanitisers to other areas of the house.

When a chemical is sprayed on a surface of an object it is better to wipe or clean after some time. Only then the chemical spreads on the surface and it removes bacteria or reduces its intensity.
Based on types of chemicals sprayed on the surfaces of the objects, there is a need to wait for 30 seconds to a few minutes to clean or wipe it.

According to a report, the bacteria have the power to resist the disinfection solution for about 20-25 seconds. So, it is advised to wait for 30 seconds after applying the disinfectant.

As per the latest study by an American university, Covid-19 can easily be smashed or removed when compared to e-coli or salmonella virus. That is the main reason the scientist advised us to wash our hands for 20 seconds.
