Homes of COVID-19 positive patients stamped in Chandigarh

Amid COVID-19 outbreak, Chandigarh authorities have decided to stamp the houses of all five coronavirus disease infected patients to avert others from visiting them. The notices put up at the main gate of the houses of these patients, who have been advised to self-quarantine, reads "COVID-19. Do not visit. Home under quarantine."

Chandigarh: With the number of COVID-19 positive cases steadily increasing in Chandigarh over the course of the past three days, the Union Territory authorities have decided to stamp the houses of all five coronavirus disease infected patients to avert others from visiting them.

The notices put up at the main gate of the houses of these patients, who have been advised to self-quarantine, read "COVID-19. Do not visit. Home under quarantine."

The Chandigarh administration has also decided to sanitise the entire city, and as many as 48 teams have been constituted for the same.

Apart from the five positive cases, as many as 100 people suspected of having contracted the deadly virus have been kept under observation.

India has, so far, registered 271 COVID-19 positive cases with four deaths attributed to the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
