Hyderabad: The flood situation has remained grim in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh due to the heavy rains that battered leaving a trail of destruction.
The IMD Hyderabad reported that there is a chance of heavy to over heavy rains in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning is also very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana. An Orange alert - which means 'be prepared' - has also been issued for Hyderabad.
With this information, GHMC alerted and took action on inundated colonies of Hyderabad. The locals are being shifted to safe places in view of heavy rains.
Minister K.T. Rama Rao arranged a meeting with higher officials to discuss the measures to be taken. He ordered officials to take all preventive measures and not to allow water stagnation in colonies.
