He said Union Home Ministry and the minister concerned should have taken action to prevent the current situation.

"This comes under the Home Ministry. Nothing has been done to prevent it," he charged, adding that immediate action should be taken to fix the problem.

The Congress leader said people were suffering because of the "complete paralysis under the BJP rule".

There have been clashes between lawyers and police during the past two days in which at least 20 security personnel and several advocates were injured.

Intro:New Delhi: After the brawl between police officers and lawyers at Delhi's Tis Hazari Court escalated into a full-blown row as a large group of police personnel gathered outside the Delhi Police headquarters in the National capital, on Tuesday, to protest against the violence occurred, Congress party attacked on the Government by saying, "Such lawlessness can only be seen under BJP rule."

Body:While speaking to ETV Bharat, Congress leader RPN Singh said, "I think it's appalling that there's a complete breakdown in law and order. More than 48 hours have passed since this incident took place and this is for the first time in 72 years that Police are sitting on Dharna."

"The law and order comes directly under the Home Minister and the Home ministry, which sits in Delhi. If this is the condition of the law and order situation in the National capital, then you can imagine what breakdown is happening in the rest of the country. An immediate action needs to be taken by the Home Minister over this matter," he added.

At least 20 policemen and eight lawyers were injured during the incident along with which 20 vehicles were vandalised in the clash. The attack was followed by another violent confrontation outside the Saket District Court, between a single policeman and a group of lawyers.

RPN Singh, who is the former Minister of State, Home ministry, said, "There has to be an action plan which should be taken up as soon as possible. We've seen a complete paralysis as far as the Home ministry is concerned and if this kind of behaviour we'll see in such kind of situations, then it is the reason why law and order is suffering in the BJP rule."

Conclusion:Congress Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala also questioned the Government in his tweet, "A new low in 72 years- Police on protest in National capital. Is this BJP's New India?"
