Singrauli: Four minor boys drowned in Son river at Kudar Lamsara village in Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli district on Saturday, police said. The incident took place about 90 kilometres away from the district headquarters under the jurisdiction of Gadwa police station.
The incident happened when the victims, who had gone to bathe in the river, ventured into the deep water and were swept away by strong currents, inspector Santosh Tiwari of Garhwa police station said.

The body of one of the boys, Anand Kumar (13) was recovered from the river close to the Uttar Pradesh border, while divers and police are trying to find Amit Kumar, Rohit Kumar and Rahul Bais, all 15 years old, the official said.
Rescue teams from Uttar Pradesh have also swung into action and are engaged in the search operations. Upon receiving the information, SDM, Tehsildar, police and team also reached the spot. The matter is being investigated and family members of the victims and deceased have been informed.
