Mathura: Uttar Pradesh police on Tuesday arrested four youth for allegedly reciting Hanuman Chalisa in Idgah mosque in Govardhan.
After the information came to light, the police swung into action and reached the Idgah mosque and arrested the four youths. All the four are residents of Govardhan. The four youth have been identified as Sourabh Lambardar, Raghav Mittal, Kanha Thakur and Krishna Thakur.
One of the apprehended youths said," If few people can offer namaz in a temple, then we can also chant Hanuman Chalisa in a mosque to send a message of brotherhood and unity.

Dr Gaurav Grover, Police Superintendent, said, "Mathura is known for communal harmony and we will not allow any such action which can hamper peace. Strict action will be taken those who try to break the social fabric in Mathura."
"Our administration is focussed on maintaining peace in the area," he said, adding that people should also co-operate to ensure that no untoward incident happens in future.
According to reports, one of the youths Sourabh had clicked the photo and uploaded it on social media. After the video went viral, the police nabbed all of them.
The incident comes two days after two Muslim youths allegedly offered namaz inside the Nand Mahal Temple at Nandgaon on Sunday. Police arrested Faisal Khan in connection with the case today.
