Farmers agitating against the new farm laws staged a semi-nude protest at Burari Grounds in Delhi on Thursday. This unique method of protesting is to draw the attention of the government towards their demands and they won't back down till the 'black' laws are repealed.

They opted this unique method of protest to draw the attention of government towards their demands.

"Government appealed farmers to let the aged people and children go as there is chilling cold in Delhi but we want to convey that farmers will keep fighting for their rights till last breath and no cold can stop us from protesting against these black laws brought by Modi government," said an agitating farmer.

Around fifty tractor-trolleys are parked at Burari ground and farmers are staying in the tents build on trolleys or on the ground. No farmer is using any facility provided by the Delhi government.

"We have decided not to stay in the tents built here by the government, we can do on our own so we will not accept any government help here. This protest will continue till government bows down and accepts our demand to repeal the three farm laws" said another farmer protesting in a semi-naked state.

The government had sent a proposal to farmer unions offering written assurance for MSP and several amendments to the three farm laws but Unions rejected government proposal and announced that they want these laws to be scrapped and will intensify their protests in the coming days.
