EAM Sushma Swaraj leaves for China

Sushma Swaraj emplaned for China to attend 16th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Russia, India and China (RIC). The visit comes at a time when Pakistan has warned of a retaliatory attack.

New Delhi: External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj emplaned for Wuzhen, China on February 26. She will attend 16th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Russia, India and China (RIC). Apart from attending the trilateral meeting, EAM will also hold bilateral discussions with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The visit comes at a time when Pakistan has warned of a retaliatory attack, and China asked both the countries to "exercise restraint".

"Counter-terrorism on the agenda. EAM @SushmaSwaraj departs for Wuzhen, #China for the 16th Foreign Ministers Meeting of Russia, India & China #RIC. Apart from attending the trilateral meeting, EAM will hold bilateral discussions with Russian and Chinese Foreign Ministers," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
