Sukma (Chhattishgarh): A dreaded Naxal leader, Papa Rao of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh died of kidney disease.
According to sources, Papa Rao had been to his in-law's house at Sarpanchpara a few days ago, where he succumbed to kidney-related ailments.
However, the reports are marred with doubts as the information regarding his death also surfaced in the past but was later found to be fake.

Last time, it was alleged that Rao died of a snakebite which later revealed to be wrong. Sukma police have not confirmed Paparao's death.
"We have also got such information but we can not confirm it right now. It would be right to say anything only after the investigation," said Sukma SP Shalabh Sinha.
"Papa Rao was the right hand of another dreaded Naxal leader, Ramanna, who died at the age of 59. He was the mastermind of the Naxalite attack in Tadmetla area," a police officer said.
Reportedly, Papa Rao was active in the Chhattisgarh-Malkangiri range. Chhattisgarh government had earlier announced a bounty of Rs 25 lakh on his head.
Notably, Papa Rao emerged as the mastermind behind the Dantewada massacre in 2010 in which 76 CRPF men were killed. The attack was termed as the country’s worst-ever Maoist attack in Chattisgarh.
