Delhi violence was a planned conspiracy: VHP leader

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) working president Alok Kumar claimed that it was a planned conspiracy to defame the government as the US President Donald Trump was on a visit to India.

Noida (UP): Expressing concerns at the violence in Delhi, The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) working president Alok Kumar claimed that it was a planned conspiracy to defame the government as the US President Donald Trump was on a visit to India.

Speaking at a function in Noida, Kumar said, "It was a planned conspiracy to defame the government and foreign funding was also done for the violence. The violence of this magnitude cannot be done without proper planning."

He further said that the matter should be thoroughly probed and rioters should be given stringent punishment.

It is to be noted that the death toll in Delhi's violence has gone up to 42, while more than 250 people have been injured.
