New Delhi: The family of fifty-year-old man, who died at Lok Nayak hospital, has accused the hospital authorities of medical negligence. The family also claimed that four days after Moizuddin's death and following several rounds of Lok Nayak and JB Pant Hospital, the body of the deceased has not been handed to them.

"Moizuddin, who was a heart patient was initially taken to JB Pant Hospital when his blood pressure dropped low. After his condition worsened, he was referred to Lok Nayak Hospital. At Lok Nayak, the authorities told us that Covid-19 test of the patient would be conducted. The hospital staff kept delaying the treatment and my brother died," said his brother Ajazuddin.

He added, "COVID samples of my brother were taken after his death but the authorities did not give us the body. The body was later sent to the morgue."

Moizuddin's brother Ameenuddin said, "After Moizuddin's wife Saista Parveen came to know about his demise, she collapsed. Moizuddin is survived by his three children."
