New Delhi: At least 10 lakh job vacancies have been filled on the Delhi government job portal that was launched last month to help jobseekers amid pandemic. More than nine lakh jobs are still available on the portal.
Around 3.5 lakh job entries were cancelled due to duplication or lack of adequate details. Companies like Aditya Birla Group, Reliance, Amazon, HDFC bank, and Assam Tea have offered jobs through the portal. More than 8 lakh people have applied for the nine lakh vacancies left on the portal.
Lauding Kejriwal govt's attempt to revive the economy amid coronavirus, AAP MLA Mahendra Goyal said, "Following the COVID-19 pandemic, many people were rendered jobless. Companies were facing labour crisis after people left the national capital scaring the virus. Taking this into account, AAP launched a job portal -the Rozgar Bazar. The portal has helped the economy to get back on track by synchronising the needs of jobseekers and the companies."

The state govt had launched a job portal in July to help both jobseekers get employment and employers to hire their required manpower.
Requesting people to register on the portal, Goyal said, "A task force has been set up to analyse the job details on the portal. The web portal has received 22 lakh job advertisements since its launch. The Rozgar Bazar has created a new model for employment during the pandemic."
"A poster campaign would be launched in the coming days to promote the job portal and encourage more registration," the minister said, adding that
The Rozgar Bazar was launched on the recommendation of the committee set up by the Delhi govt to resuscitate the economy, battered by the corona-induced lockdown.
