The Delhi BJP organised Kisan Sammelan today to raise awareness about new farm laws among the farmers. The leaders interacted with the farmers and explained to them the benefits of the agricultural laws.

Narela: With the farmer protest against the contentious entering the 20th day, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday organised 'Kisan Sammelan' in favour of the three agri-sector bills.

Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta today participated in the Kisan Sammelan organised at Narela, just 2 kilometres from the Delhi Singh border and said the government will hold talks with the agitating farmers to solve the deadlock. District President Devendra Solanki, Minister of State for Agriculture Kailash Chaudhary and other dignitaries were also present. The leaders interacted with the farmers and explained to them the benefits of the agricultural laws.

"BJP respects the farmers of the country. Farmers of Delhi have backed the three laws brought by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi is giving the liberty to farmers that they can sell their agricultural produce anywhere in the country. Who are those people who have raised their doubts when farmers are benefitted?" he said.

Gupta added, "Farmers used to commit suicide during Congress regime but now PM Modi has now found a solution for this. Country's development depends on the farmers. Few people always target Modi govt for the good work only for their political mileage. But this will not last long. Farmers have now understood that Modi govt is with farmers."

He also attacked the Kejriwal government and said that Delhi government is not concerned about the welfare of the farmers. The BJP leader said that Delhi farmers do not subsidies and are not given the status of 'farmers'.

BJP is organising Kisan Sammelan at various places across the country to educate and make people aware of the three farm laws enacted by the Centre. The Kisan Sammelan began from 14th December and will go on till 18th of this month.

The leader said that there have been six rounds of talks between the government and the farmers and the party is hoping that the protest will end soon.
