New Delhi: With the outbreak of the global virus threat,some pharmacies in the national capital have stopped selling N95 masks due to increase in prices. As the coronavirus scare has gripped many nations, including India, price of N95 mask shoots up and there has been shortage of sanitisers in the medical stores.
"We have stopped selling N95 masks as wholesalers are selling it to us at high prices. If we ask more money from customers, we end up landing in a dispute",said a pharmacist in Connaught Place.

People also complain that there has been shortage of hand sanitisers in the market too. Market is witnessing a huge demand for N95 masks which is recommended by the Ministry of Health for the prevention against viruses. Shopkeepers demand a balanced system from the government where the prices and supply of essential commodities in such a crisis like situation should be controlled.
The World Health Organisation has declared coronavirus a pandemic and two death cases have been reported in India. Several states are in shutdown mode and malls,gyms and theatres have been closed down. The Health Ministry has confirmed 83 positive cases of covid-19 in India till date and govt has suspended all tourist visas to prevent the spread of coronavirus as cases across India continued to rise.
