New Delhi: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel posted in the control room of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to reports, the personnel belong to the 55th and 243rd battalions of the CRPF. The control room number one of the Home Ministry was sealed as soon as the case comes to light and now the sanitisation work is being done.
The MHA has said that the contact-tracing exercise has started and they will be sent on quarantine as and when we get their details. As of now, a total 160 personnel of CRPF have tested coronavirus positive.

On Sunday, the CRPF headquarters in New Delhi's Lodhi road was sealed after a head constable was tested positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile, 85 more Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have also tested positive for coronavirus, taking the total of 154, BSF spokesperson said on Wednesday.
It is to be noted that maximum BSF jawans, who have been infected with the novel coronavirus, were posted in the Jamia area for maintaining law and order situation. As of now, 43 personnel of the ITBP and 13 SSB personnel belonging to 25 Battalion, deputed in Delhi, have tested positive for coronavirus.
