Hyderabad: Spike of 37,148 cases and 587 deaths reported in India in the last 24 hours, taking the total toll at 11,55,191 in the country. Meanwhile, volunteers are being recruited to conduct the human clinical trials of the indigenously developed coronavirus vaccine candidate Covaxin in India as the coronavirus cases in India crossed the 11 lakh mark with no sign of Covid-19 decline anytime soon.
Delhi
New Delhi: Around 23% of Delhi’s population had been infected with coronavirus till the first week of July, a serological survey covering over 20,000 people across the Capital’s 11 districts between June 27 and July 10 shows. It also points out that a large number of infected people remain asymptomatic.
The findings of the survey, conducted by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) along with Delhi government, were released on Tuesday.

Bhopal: As many as 67 out of 82 inmates and three guards of the Bareli sub-jail in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday evening, indicating the poor preventive measures being adopted in prisons across the state.
With the number of coronavirus cases rising, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced that the 17 worst-hit places of the state capital will now see a five-day shutdown.

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 20.64 crore from Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) for running new Dedicated COVID hospitals and COVID Care Centres for next three months in Khurda and Cuttack districts.

Ranchi: In a shocking report from Dhanbad in Jharkhand, six members of a family have died due to Covid-19 in Katras in Jharkhand's Dhanbad district. The deceased include an 88-year-old woman and her five sons who died between July 4th and July 21st.
Residents in Dhanbad are shocked to know about the incident and the district administration has issued alerts and has asked people to avoid unnecessary visits to the city. The border areas along the West Bengal touching Dhanbad has also been completely sealed.
