"We have taken this initiative to deliver food to all those in need. However, we are facing issues due to the fixed timings of the groceries imposed during the lockdown. Prices of food items are going high and we are not getting enough commodities. But we want that food should be delivered to people as much as possible," said Ajay Jaispal, who looks after the community kitchen.

Ajay further said, "In a day, we are able to provide food packets to almost 500-700 people. If we run short of items, we manage it from our houses. I would like to appeal to the government and the administration to keep a fair price and ensure that there are stock of supplies available."

At least, half dozen employees are engaged are preparing and packing the food packets. The organistaion is planning to open six such kitchens across the city to provide help to the poor and the needy in this hour of crisis.
