Covid-19 fight: Bhilwara to impose Maha Curfew from April 3

Bhilwara city has decided to impose Maha Curfew from April 3 in view of the rising covid-19 cases in the district. Movement of any voluntary organisation, including media personnel during this period, will be completely restricted. Under this special initiative to fight against Covid-19, the administration will provide food and essential commodities to people at their doorsteps.

Bhilwara(Rajasthan): In an effort to break the corona chain in Bhilwara, the district collector has decided to impose Maha curfew in the city from starting from April 3 which will continue for ten days. Movement of any voluntary organisation, including media personnel during this period will be completely restricted. Under this special initiative to fight against Covid-19, the administration will provide food and essential commodities to people at their doorsteps.

However, curfew was imposed in the city for an indefinite period from March 20 but since the number of positive coronavirus cases in Bhilwara rose to 26, the district collector has decided to impose Maha Curfew.

"We have successfully obtained all the medical arrangements including screening in Bhilwara district in the first phase. Out of the same 26 positive cases, there are 8 cases which came negative. To break the corona chain completely, we have decided to impose Maha Curfew", said District Collector Rajendra Bhatt.

He further said,"Passes have been cancelled for media persons, public transports and NGOs. Even while delivering the food we will ensure that people will maintain social distancing. Those who don't abide by the rules will not be given food. Cops will take strict action against people who violate the law. People who don't receive food should contact control room and administration will make sure that they get food".

"If everyone comes together to fight against Covid-19, we will win. The best way to end corona is to stay at home",he said. Bhatt has urged people to stay indoors and practice social distancing.
