As per a tweet and a blog by WhatsApp, it has doubled the limit from 4 participants to 8 participants in the WhatsApp video and voice call.

WhatsApp claims that this service will also work well with low key devices and slow network conditions. To use this new feature, one has to update the new version of WhatsApp. This hold true for both Andrioid and iphone users.
