Coronavirus: India issues fresh travel advisory for travelers visiting Korea, Iran and Italy

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a fresh travel advisory to Indians visiting Korea, Iran and Italy. Earlier too, Health ministry had issued similar advisory asking Indians not to travel countries like China, Thailand and Malaysia.

New Delhi: In view of the evolving situation related to COVID-19, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Wednesday issued a fresh travel advisory to Indians travelling to Korea, Iran and Italy.

"People coming from Korea, Iran and Italy or having such travel history since February 10, 2020 may be quarantined for 14 days on arrival to India," said the advisory issued by the health ministry.

Earlier too, Health ministry had issued similar advisory asking Indians not to travel countries like China, Thailand and Malaysia.

Meanwhile, C-17 military aircraft of Indian Air Force has left for Wuhan with around 15 tonnes of medical supplies including masks, gloves and other emergency medical equipments.

According to sources, the aircraft is likely to bring back over 120 Indians including some citizens from neighbouring countries.

The death toll in the Coronavirous epidemic crossed 2715 in China while 78,064 cases were found positive.
